Las Leñas is the largest ski resort in Argentina: a 2,240-meter base, 29 runs and Cerro Entre Ríos rising to 3,430. It's far away, which is why few people do it as a day trip. We take you there, with your gear sorted, and you're back in Mendoza to sleep.
Pre-dawn departure via San Rafael and the Salado River valley, a full day at the resort with the gear of your choice, and return at night. You decide how much to ski, how much to go sledding and how much hot chocolate to drink.

Frequently asked questions
About the Las Leñas Tour
How far is Las Leñas from Mendoza?+
Las Leñas is 445 km south of Mendoza city. The trip takes about 5 hours each way via Route 40 and Provincial Route 222. That's why this is an extended full-day tour: we leave at 2:00 am and return at night.
How much does it cost to ski or get into Las Leñas?+
There are different options depending on what you want to do. The beginners' slope costs ARS 65,000 and the snow play area costs ARS 25,000. The full ski pass, which covers the lifts and all runs, is bought at the resort and varies by season. We send you the current prices along with your voucher.
Do I need previous experience to ski at Las Leñas?+
No. Las Leñas has runs for every level and a beginners' slope for learning. There's a ski school with certified instructors offering group or private lessons (extra cost). And if you don't want to ski, there's the snow play area so you can still enjoy the day.
When is the best time to go to Las Leñas?+
The ski season at Las Leñas usually runs from mid-June to early October. The best snow generally falls between July and August. September has milder weather and packed snow, ideal for those who don't want extreme cold. Conditions vary from year to year.
What's the difference between Las Leñas and Los Penitentes?+
Penitentes (Penitentes Park this season) is much closer to Mendoza (200 km vs. 445 km) and more affordable, with a beginners' slope, a sledding run and a scenic chairlift ride, ideal for a family day in the snow. Las Leñas is the premium resort, with the best snow and runs in Argentina, designed for a complete ski experience. If you want a snow day close by, Penitentes; if you want the best snow in the country, Las Leñas.
Can I go to Las Leñas without skiing?+
Yes. There's the snow play area to enjoy without skiing, and you can take photos, eat at the restaurants and ride the lifts with a pedestrian pass to see the landscape from above. It's a great experience even if you don't ski.
What happens if there's no snow on the day of the tour?+
We only go when the ski resort is officially open. If conditions deteriorate during the season and the resort closes, we let you know in advance and reschedule at no cost or refund your payment. Snow quality at Las Leñas is very reliable; bad seasons are rare.
How does the ski gear work?+
The tour already includes your choice of a snowsuit or a full ski set (boots, skis and poles). You pick it up the day before departure at the rental shop we assign you. Other extras (snowboard, helmet) are available at the resort; we recommend wearing a helmet when skiing.
Is the Las Leñas Tour suitable for children?+
Yes, but keep in mind that the trip is very long (5 hours each way). For children under 6 it can be exhausting. Las Leñas has a kids' ski school and a beginners' area that's ideal for children. If you're traveling with young children, consider Los Puquios or Penitentes, which are much closer.
How long is the Las Leñas Tour?+
The full tour lasts about 20 hours. We leave Mendoza at 2:00 am, arrive at Las Leñas in the morning, you have the whole day to ski or enjoy the snow, and we return around 10:00 pm. That's why we recommend getting a good night's rest beforehand.
