Maipú is where Mendoza wine began: wineries more than a hundred years old, twenty minutes from the city. You leave in the morning, and by the afternoon you've tasted alfajores (Argentine filled cookies), olive oil, four wines and a four-course lunch with free-flowing wine. The complete wine tour, in one day, with nothing missing.
Three wineries and an alfajor factory: Sin Fin, Atilio Avena with its gourmet lunch, and Florio for the final toast. With a bilingual sommelier guide who explains every glass.

Frequently asked questions
About the Maipú Wine Tour
How far is Maipú from Mendoza city?+
Maipú is just 20 km east of Mendoza city. The trip takes about 25 minutes each way. It's the wine region closest to the city and the most historic in Argentina, with wineries dating back to the late 19th century.
What's the difference between the Maipú and Luján de Cuyo wine tours?+
Maipú is Mendoza's historic wine region, with traditional family wineries and more affordable prices. Luján de Cuyo is the high-end Malbec region, with more modern wineries of international prestige. Maipú is ideal for a first experience and for learning the history of Argentine wine. Luján is for going deeper into premium wines.
How many wineries do we visit on the Maipú Wine Tour?+
We visit 3 wineries: Sin Fin, Atilio Avena and Florio. At Atilio Avena you also do an olive oil tasting.
How many wines will I taste in total?+
You taste wine at Sin Fin (paired with alfajores), 4 wines in the Atilio Avena tasting, the free-flowing wine at lunch and the final toast at Florio. Tasting pours are measured, so you can try several without overdoing it.
Is lunch included in the Maipú Wine Tour?+
Yes, it's fully included. It's a 4-course lunch with free-flowing wine, served inside Bodega Atilio Avena. The food is regional gourmet, usually with meat, pasta and vegetarian options. If you have any dietary restriction, let us know when you book.
Can I go if I don't drink alcohol?+
Yes. You'll still enjoy the tour, the history of the wineries, the scenery and the lunch. Tastings are optional. We recommend letting us know when you book so we can arrange non-alcoholic drinks (grape juice, flavored water, soft drinks).
Can I bring children on the Maipú Wine Tour?+
Under-18s can come with a responsible adult, but they don't take part in the tastings. The wineries usually offer grape juice or soft drinks for kids. Keep in mind that the pace of the tour is designed for adults, so it can feel long for young children.
Can I buy wine at the wineries?+
Yes, all the wineries have a shop where you can buy the bottles you tasted. Prices are usually better than at wine shops in the city. If you're flying, we recommend buying special packs with flight packaging, which are also available at the wineries.
When is the best time of year for a wine tour?+
Each season has its charm. The grape harvest, or vendimia (February–March), is the liveliest time, with vines heavy with fruit and picking in full swing. Autumn (April–May) has the most spectacular colors, with yellow and reddish leaves. Winter (June–August) shows the pruned vineyards, ideal for understanding the cycle. Spring (September–November) has ideal weather and vineyards in bloom.
How long is the Maipú Wine Tour?+
It's a complete full day. We leave Mendoza at 9:00 am, tour the wineries (Sin Fin, Atilio Avena and Florio) with time for tastings and photos, have lunch at Atilio Avena, and return to Mendoza around 6:00 pm.
